Summary
Boston Public Schools is seeking an exceptional Teacher for Elementary and Moderate Disabilities/Inclusion, Gr. 1 with an SEI endorsement for the school year 2026-2027.
About the Role
As a Teacher for Elementary and Moderate Disabilities/Inclusion, you will be responsible for teaching the Elementary General Curriculum in an inclusive setting for students with Special Needs and English Language Learners. Your duties will include implementing district learning goals, providing small-group instruction, writing and implementing IEP goals, and collaborating with other staff to support student needs.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Education.
- Massachusetts Teaching License in Elementary 1-6 AND either SEI Endorsement or ESL license.
- Ability to meet the Standards of Effective Teaching established by Boston Public Schools.
- Current authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred:
- Moderate Disabilities PK-8 license.
- Experience teaching in urban schools.
- Degree in Special Education.
- Fluency in one of BPS' official languages: Spanish, Creole (Cape Verdean), Creole (Haitian), Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, or Somali.
