About the Role
As a Teacher of the Deaf, you will be responsible for preparing lesson plans, developing instructional activities based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), maintaining a positive classroom environment, and utilizing technology to enhance learning. You will also serve as a Case Manager for assigned students, coordinating with other staff to support educational goals and participating in professional development activities.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
- Must hold or be eligible for appropriate educator licensure in the State of Colorado within three years of hire, endorsed as a Special Education Specialist: Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
Preferred:
- Master's Degree in Education or closely related field with specialization in Deaf Education.
- Experience teaching or working with children who are Deaf/hard-of-hearing or who may have multiple disabilities.
