Summary
Jobot is seeking a Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer to join their team remotely. The role involves designing, building, and deploying software for a high-performance e-commerce hosting platform.
About the Role
As a Tech Lead / Senior Software Engineer, you will take ownership of key initiatives on the product roadmap, lead and mentor a talented team of engineers, and remain hands-on in the codebase to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions. You will act as the technical lead for multiple projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to the delivery of clean, peer-reviewed code deployed multiple times per week.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 6–10 years of professional experience including 3+ years in leadership roles.
- Proven track record with at least one statically typed language, one interpreted language, and relational databases.
- Demonstrated success in technical leadership, including mentoring and guiding engineering teams.
- Deep experience with statically-typed languages (Golang) and interpretative languages (Ruby preferred).
- Strong understanding of HTTP and transport layer protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Docker.
Preferred:
- High-scale infrastructure background or passion for e-commerce platforms serving millions of requests.
- Experience designing automation or orchestration across distributed services.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, WooCommerce, Shopware).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to align technical execution with business needs.
