Doggett - John Deere is seeking a Technical Communicator & Certified Dealer Trainer to join their team in Houston, TX. The role involves serving as the primary technical knowledge resource within the dealership and supporting certified dealer training programs.
About the Role
As a Technical Communicator & Certified Dealer Trainer, you will establish a knowledge center to improve product resolution cycle times, enhance technician diagnostic and repair abilities, and ensure best practices are shared across all service locations. You will deliver and coordinate certified dealer training, ensuring technicians meet John Deere certification standards and are equipped with current technical knowledge. Your responsibilities will include acting as a resource for technicians, conducting preliminary investigations into machine issues, maintaining technical knowledge of systems, and preparing service department reports.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in service and parts department operations.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems used in heavy equipment.
- Experience with John Deere diagnostic tools (Service ADVISOR™, Parts ADVISOR™, JDLink™, CCMS).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Preferred:
- Technical training experience.
- Experience delivering technical or certification training programs.
- CDL preferred.
