Summary
Esri is seeking a Technical Consultant – Operations Engineer for Managed Cloud Services to join their team in Denver, CO. The role involves providing enterprise system support for complex GIS implementations and deploying customer ArcGIS deployments in AWS/Azure.
About the Role
As a Technical Consultant, you will work with a cross-functional team to deploy and support ArcGIS solutions in cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include automating operations, building tools for deployment and monitoring, troubleshooting issues, and developing solutions using new cloud technologies. You will also provide 24/7 on-call technical support and engage with various teams to ensure operational efficiency.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and administrating enterprise GIS solutions/systems leveraging the ArcGIS platform.
- Proficiency with the Esri product line, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or related STEM field.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly.
- US citizenship.
Preferred:
- 1+ years of experience designing and maintaining cloud environments like Azure or AWS.
- Experience with high-availability production environments and service level agreements.
- Experience configuring and deploying software onto managed Kubernetes clusters.
- Programming and scripting experience with Python and PowerShell.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, and other RDBMS.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or related STEM field.
