Lightfield is seeking a Technical Lead, Infrastructure & Data to join their team in San Francisco, CA. The role involves architecting and scaling the data infrastructure and retrieval systems for their AI-driven CRM.
About the Role
As a Technical Lead, Infrastructure & Data, you will be a founding member of a new team responsible for inventing the data infrastructure that powers Lightfield's CRM. Your tasks will include designing and optimizing data models, building full-stack systems, developing observability metrics, and mentoring teammates. You will work closely with the founders and contribute to building a world-class engineering team.
About You
Required:
10+ years of experience in development with a strong background in infrastructure, data modeling, and backend systems.
Deep experience building scalable, high-performance data infrastructure that supports large-scale data processing and retrieval.
Strong understanding of database design, indexing strategies, and query optimization, especially in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
Experience with full-text search infrastructure (e.g., Typesense) and vector search (e.g., Pinecone).
Strong fundamentals in software engineering, with a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Preferred:
Experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j) to model complex relationships.
Excitement about Large Language Models (LLMs) and building systems that leverage them.
Ability to quickly ramp up on a tech stack that includes TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Apollo GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
