About the Role
As a Technical Manager, you will serve as a national specialist and principal advisor on complex navigation projects, leading and coordinating the work of engineers and technicians. You will ensure the quality and consistency of engineering products, work with research labs and industry to promote innovative techniques, and mentor subordinate staff. The position requires overseeing all phases of navigation engineering projects and acting as a liaison between the INDC and engineering communities.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Professional Engineer (PE) Certification.
- Significant experience in large-scale civil works projects, particularly in new lock and dam design and major rehabilitation.
Preferred:
- Expertise in multiple engineering disciplines such as civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, and geotechnical engineering.
- Experience in contract negotiation and procurement processes.
