Breeze Airways™ is seeking a Technical Publications Specialist II to join their team in Cottonwood Heights, UT. The role involves maintaining the currency, compliance, and quality control of company manuals and publications.
About the Role
As a Technical Publications Specialist II, you will be responsible for managing the master file of all company manuals, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, creating and editing technical documents, and supporting cross-functional projects. You will also serve as a Subject Matter Expert in technical publications, ensuring adherence to quality standards and processes.
About You
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Aviation, Engineering, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in a publications environment or creating technical documentation; experience with structured content (XML, DITA, S1000D) required.
Technical writing experience required, preferably within a regulated industry.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office 365 tools and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience working in an aviation regulatory environment with a strong understanding of FAA Part 121 operations.
Familiarity with creating and managing regulatory documentation, including FAA submission processes.
Experience with Company Manual Systems (CMS) or similar electronic publication platforms.
Knowledge of Safety Risk Assessments (SRA) and risk level classifications for aviation documentation.
