Summary
TMEIC is seeking a Technical Services Field Technician for their Energy & Infrastructure Solutions team, located in Houston, TX. The role involves providing warranty support for utility scale solar PV inverters and related products.
About the Role
As a Technical Services Field Technician, you will analyze client equipment failures, provide technical support, perform commissioning and installations, troubleshoot issues, and maintain client relationship management tools. You will also ensure compliance with safety requirements and process warranty replacements.
About You
Required:
- Associate degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics engineering or related field, or equivalent via education and/or work experience.
- Knowledge of power conversion and distribution transformers.
- Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook.
- Availability to travel approximately 75% domestically and internationally.
Preferred:
- 3 years' field engineering experience with Utility Scale Solar PV Inverters.
- Controls engineering experience.
- Low voltage drive engineering experience.
- Photovoltaic Inverter power generation experience.
- PPC and battery storage experience.
