ABB is seeking a Technical Support Expert - ACS880 to join their team in New Berlin, WI. The role involves providing technical support for ABB's ACS880 variable frequency drives and related systems.
About the Role
As a Technical Support Expert for the ACS880 platform, you will provide technical support to customers, sales channels, and product management teams. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting, commissioning, and warranty evaluation of variable frequency drives, as well as leading technical writing projects and training content development for less experienced team members. You will also collaborate with engineering and product management to ensure timely updates and feedback on product quality issues.
About You
Required:
- 6+ years of previous technical support/remote support/troubleshooting experience with ABB Variable Frequency Drives.
- Competence with ACS880 Drives Products and a firm understanding of Variable Frequency Drives, AC & DC Motors, and PLCs.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.
Preferred:
- Knowledge and experience in HVAC, Water and Wastewater, and Industrial applications for AC VFDs.
- Willingness to travel 5-10%.
