About the Role
As a Technical Writer III, you will be responsible for authoring, editing, and maintaining complex aviation technical documentation, ensuring compliance with NAMP and NAVAIR publications, and collaborating with various teams to support aviation logistics and maintenance management. You will work independently to manage and oversee aviation logistics programs while ensuring regulatory compliance.
About You
Required:
- Active Secret security clearance.
- 5–10 years of technical writing and documentation experience in the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Thorough knowledge of NAMP 4790 (series), NAVAIR publications, and aviation maintenance programs.
- Experience with NALCOMIS OOMA and ASM systems (or ability to become proficient within 90 days).
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information.
- Ability to work independently in a high-tempo operational environment.
- U.S. citizenship required for flight line and system access.
Preferred:
- Prior experience supporting USMC, USAF, or USN aviation maintenance units.
- Experience in Material Control, Tool Control, IMRL, or ASM Fleet Administration roles.
- Previous Quality Assurance or CDQARS experience.
- Familiarity with FMS aviation training environments.
