Intertek is seeking a Technician II - General Safety to join their Electrical team in Arlington Heights, IL. The role involves providing technical support for engineering staff and performing electrical/performance testing on various products.

About the Role

As a Technician II, you will be responsible for conducting tests according to U.S., Canada, and international product safety standards, writing reports, and communicating with clients. Your daily tasks will include setting up and operating equipment under test, performing basic analysis of test data, and maintaining equipment and facilities.

About You

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years electrical, mechanical and/or hands-on equipment experience
Understanding of U.S., Canada & international product safety standards (e.g., ANSI, IES, CIE, NEMA, UL/CSA)
A valid driver's license and reliable driving record
Ability to utilize basic shop equipment and various hand tools
Strong communication skills, in both verbal and written formats
Microsoft Office software expertise, including Word, Excel and Outlook

Preferred:

Associate degree in a technical field
Previous Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) experience
2+ years electrical experience
