EY is seeking a Technology Consulting - Digital Engineering - Platform/Backend Engineer - Manager to join their team. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining the foundational infrastructure and services that power applications.
About the Role
As a Platform Engineer, you will collaborate with clients to gather and analyze requirements, design and develop user interfaces, and write clean, maintainable code. Key responsibilities include designing APIs and microservices, maintaining containerized applications, optimizing data models, and championing test-driven development practices. You will also integrate authentication mechanisms and work with Azure cloud services, while monitoring and optimizing platform performance.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in platform engineering or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI for backend development.
- Solid experience with microservices architecture and API design.
- Hands-on experience with containers, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Deep understanding of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
Preferred:
- Experience with building and evolving distributed systems.
- Familiarity with identity and access management tools like Keycloak and OAuth2.
- Exposure to cloud services, particularly Azure.
- Experience with LLMs and vector databases.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and infrastructure automation.
