Summary
YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Teen Advisor to join their team at the Prospect Park YMCA in Brooklyn, NY. The role involves leading and supervising teen programs and services.
About the Role
As a Teen Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of participants, planning and facilitating lesson plans, managing administrative data entry, and developing positive relationships with teens and their families. You will also lead programming focused on Social Emotional Learning and skill development, while adhering to all relevant standards and regulations.
About You
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with pre-teens and teens (ages 13 and older).
- General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred:
- College credits preferred.
- Knowledge of Access, Adobe PageMaker, and Photoshop preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.
