About the Role
As a Teen Health Education Intern, you will implement the Teens Make Health Happen wellness club in middle and high schools, serving as a near-peer mentor to students. Your responsibilities include developing relationships with wellness leaders, assessing school health needs, managing club activities, hosting demonstrations, and representing HealthCorps in the community.
About You
Required:
- Undergraduate or graduate college student majoring in public health, public policy, biology, nutrition, marketing, psychology, education, social work, or related fields.
- In good academic standing with your university.
- Commitment of 6-8+ hours each week for the entire fall or spring semester.
- Strong desire to grow personally and professionally as a community leader and speaker on health-related topics.
Preferred:
- Experience in public health or education-related internships.
- Familiarity with social media platforms for outreach.
