Summary
Textron Systems is seeking a Test Automation Engineer III/IV to join their team in Wilmington, MA. The role involves designing and implementing automation software for testing in the Weapon Systems business area.
About the Role
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automation software from requirements to deployment, interfacing with product development teams to determine test strategies, and developing modular, reusable test software in NI-Lab View, Python, or other tools. You will also write automation software to interact with hardware and instrumentation, ensuring a strong understanding of control design principles and communication protocols.
About You
Required:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 5 years’ experience developing instrument driven test software or M.S. in Electrical Engineering with 3 years’ experience (Level III).
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 8 years’ experience or M.S. with 6 years’ experience (Level IV).
- Solid programming knowledge in LabView or Python.
- Experience in problem isolation and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience programming with C#/C.
- Relevant experience with software configuration management tools and defect tracking.
- An existing U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
