About the Role
As a TNPS System Architect, you will define and specify planning tool functions based on customer requests, understand Nokia line systems, and work with R&D in Agile teams to implement line system functions. Your contributions will help optimize optical transmission systems and enhance network capacity.
About You
Required:
- Master's Degree in an engineering discipline (computer science or electrical engineering with focus on fiber optics or optical physics).
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience in a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of optical communication systems and high capacity coherent DWDM networks.
- Understanding of linear and nonlinear physical impairments in fiber optical transmission systems.
- Hands-on experience in planning and optimization of optical DWDM networks.
- Strong understanding of network design principles.
Preferred:
- PhD in a relevant field.
- Experience with Nokia's portfolio.
- Hands-on programming experience using JAVA, Python, MATLAB, or similar.
- Experience in R&D departments with knowledge in software development, verification, and debugging strategies.
- Familiarity with microservices and cloud deployment architectures.
