Summary
MAHLE is seeking a Toolmaker to join their team in Dayton, OH. The role involves setting up and operating machines to fabricate tooling components and performing maintenance and repairs on injection molds.
About the Role
As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for setting up and operating conventional and special-purpose machines to fabricate tooling components. Your daily tasks will include repairing damaged molds, performing maintenance, designing gauges and fixtures, troubleshooting in-press issues, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance guidelines. You will work in a safety-focused environment and may be required to produce parts with minimal prints.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years experience as tool & die maker, injection mold making &/or associated work.
- In-depth knowledge of machining tools and their use.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/design schematics.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate large machinery.
- Experience with quality control analysis.
- Strong verbal and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a strong safety-focused environment.
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
Preferred:
- Relevant mold maker / tool and die maker certifications.
- Proven problem-solving & critical thinking skills.
- Working knowledge of high tonnage injection molding machines.
