Stellantis is seeking a Toolmaker to join their team in Detroit, MI. The role involves producing tools and specialized parts for manufacturing machines in an automotive manufacturing plant.
About the Role
As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for analyzing specifications, laying out metal stock, setting up and operating machine tools, and fitting and assembling parts to create and repair cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and hand tools. You will interpret specifications and blueprints, plan sequences of operations, and ensure tools meet design specifications through testing and inspection.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Basic knowledge of mathematics, algebra, and physics.
- 4 years of combined experience and training similar to that required in a bona fide apprenticeship program as a Tool Maker or Tool and Die Maker; OR a U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate as a Tool Maker or Tool and Die Maker; OR eight (8) years of documented Tool Maker or Tool and Die Maker experience; OR five (5) years of documented Tool Maker or Tool and Die Maker experience and three (3) years in a related trade.
- Experience as a Toolmaker in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of G-Suite.
