WSP in the U.S. is seeking a Traffic Engineering Lead to join their team in Knoxville, TN. The role involves leading traffic engineering projects, including design, analysis, and traffic studies.
About the Role
As a Traffic Engineering Lead, you will manage traffic engineering projects, perform signal design and operational improvements, conduct traffic analyses and crash analyses, and oversee the design and construction of traffic projects. You will also develop innovative concepts for intersection and corridor improvements and ensure compliance with applicable rules and standards.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior traffic design experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer.
- Experience in ITS and Signals Design.
- Proficiency in Microstation or other CAD programs.
- Knowledge of traffic engineering and planning software (HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, ArcGIS).
- Demonstrated knowledge of DOT advisory circulars and procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of traffic engineering principles, practices, and design/build related to traffic control equipment.
Preferred:
- Experience with roadway planning, design, and construction management.
- Highly proficient with technical writing and office automation software.
