WSP in the U.S. is seeking a Traffic Engineering Lead to join their team in Nashville, TN. The role involves leading traffic engineering projects, including design, analysis, and studies for various transportation projects.
About the Role
As a Traffic Engineering Lead, you will manage traffic engineering projects, perform signal design and operational improvements, conduct traffic analyses and crash analyses, and oversee the design and construction of traffic projects. You will also develop innovative concepts for intersection and corridor improvements and ensure compliance with applicable rules and standards.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior traffic design experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer.
- Experience in ITS and Signals Design.
- Proficiency in Microstation or other CAD programs.
- Knowledge of traffic engineering and planning software (HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, ArcGIS).
- Demonstrated knowledge of DOT advisory circulars and procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices.
Preferred:
- Experience with roadway planning, design, and construction management.
- Proficiency in technical writing and office automation software.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and budgets.
