As a Traffic Monitoring Operator, you will apply incident management techniques, coordinate with emergency services, operate traffic management systems, maintain logs and reports, and ensure adherence to safety guidelines. You will work in a control room environment, responding to incidents and maintaining situational awareness.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one year of experience in traffic operations or related functions.
- Valid Virginia Driver's License.
- Ability to pass a Criminal History Background Check and drug screen.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
Preferred:
- Experience dispatching personnel during emergencies.
- Familiarity with the Hampton Roads interstate system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
