Summary
Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Trainer, Operations Excellence to join their team in Elmhurst, IL. The role involves delivering field-based and virtual training to improve shop performance and support parts management.
About the Role
As a Trainer, Operations Excellence, you will be responsible for delivering effective training programs to Parts Administrators and supporting roles, monitoring adherence to company parts systems, and conducting hands-on coaching. You will work closely with shop leadership to assess training needs and support the rollout of new platform features, ensuring team members are well-equipped to manage parts procurement and related workflows.
About You
Required:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in parts operations, preferably within automotive collision repair or a related industry.
- Proficiency with parts procurement systems and operational processes strongly preferred.
- Google Suite experience required (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
- Strong working knowledge of parts operations, including ordering, returns, and reconciliation.
Preferred:
- Prior experience conducting training, onboarding, or mentoring.
- Comfortable facilitating both one-on-one and group training sessions in the field and virtually.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage team members at all levels.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
