Alstom is seeking a Transit Tech to join their team in Atlanta, GA. The role involves installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical assemblies and systems.
About the Role
As a Transit Tech, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical assemblies and systems. Your daily tasks will include using standard electronic test equipment, reading technical drawings, and performing repairs to ensure systems are operational. You will also be expected to troubleshoot issues down to the component level and maintain documentation for tasks performed.
About You
Required:
- Associate’s Degree or 4+ years equivalent technical experience and/or military technical training.
- Experience using Digital Volt Meter, Oscilloscope, and standard electronic test equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner.
Preferred:
- Experience with hand tools and small power tools.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and datasheets.
- Experience in electronic and mechanical assembly.
