Bowman Consulting is seeking a Transportation Engineer III - Traffic to join their team in Richmond, VA. The role involves executing complex technical transportation engineering techniques and developing sustainable transportation solutions.
About the Role
As a Transportation Engineer III, you will be responsible for leading transportation projects, preparing engineering plans and reports, conducting data analysis, and ensuring quality control. You will work closely with project teams, assist in marketing efforts, and mentor junior staff while adhering to established goals and procedures.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Five or more years of professional engineering experience with an emphasis on transportation engineering.
- EIT Registration or six or more years of successful transportation engineering experience.
- Experience with the preparation of construction plans and/or studies for roadway or traffic projects.
- Experience directing tasks and performing QA/QC.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Completed coursework in transportation engineering and/or highway design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) Registration or ability to receive within six months.
- Valid state driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle check.
- Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- Experience with AutoTurn and GuideSIGN.
- Knowledge of DOT standards and construction practices.
