About the Role
As a Transportation Operations Technician II, you will be responsible for highway maintenance tasks such as repairing guardrails, cutting trees and brush, patching roads, picking litter, and ditching. In winter, you will assist with plowing and salting, and may also help with vehicle and equipment maintenance. Overtime may be required, especially during heavy snowfall or emergencies.
About You
Required:
- One year of work experience in construction, equipment operation, or related manual labor, including either one season of operating a snowplow with wings or six months of operating medium or heavy equipment.
- Possession of a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a Class A Commercial Driver's License with Tanker Endorsement within the first six months of employment.
