About the Role
As a Travel Demand Modeler, you will collaborate with a team of modelers, planners, and data scientists to deliver data-driven insights for transportation systems. Your responsibilities will include developing state-of-the-art forecasting models, integrating big data, and translating complex data into visualizations for stakeholders. About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the development and application of travel demand models.
- Strong knowledge of travel behavior principles and forecasting methods.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data processing and model scripting.
- Hands-on experience with travel demand modeling software (e.g., Cube, TransCAD, EMME).
- Experience with automated reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
- Experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) for spatial analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree with 2 years of experience or a PhD in a relevant field.
- Prior experience in a travel demand modeling consulting role.
- Experience developing and applying activity-based models (ABMs).
- Experience with data pipeline development and cloud-based workflows.
