Summary
State of Wisconsin is seeking a Treatment Specialist 2 - Substance Abuse Counselor to join their team at the Drug Abuse Correctional Center in Winnebago, WI. The role involves formulating and implementing individual and group interventions for substance abuse treatment.
About the Role
As a Treatment Specialist 2, you will conduct evaluations, implement case and treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based substance abuse programming. You will also develop therapeutic interventions to assist individuals in completing program requirements and assist with bed movement processes such as classification hearing reviews and parole planning.
About You
Required:
- Current AODA treatment certification from the state of Wisconsin in the form of a Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC), Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification, or Authorized to Treat for Substance Use Disorder specialty certification.
- Ability to implement evidence-based evaluation rating tools and treatment plans.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a correctional or rehabilitation setting.
- Knowledge of substance abuse treatment methodologies and reintegration planning.
