Summary
Oakland Community Health Network is seeking a Triage Nurse (RN) for the night shift at their Resource and Crisis Center in Pontiac, MI. The role involves delivering high-quality, trauma-informed, and person-centered care in a fast-paced crisis setting.
About the Role
As a Triage Nurse, you will conduct initial nursing assessments and behavioral health triages for walk-in individuals, prioritize and triage based on clinical urgency, collaborate with the Crisis Assessment Team, maintain accurate nursing documentation, support crisis intervention efforts, monitor individuals for changes in status, and contribute to a trauma-informed care environment. You will also participate in quality improvement activities and uphold ethical standards in all interactions.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred or Associate's Degree of Nursing with 3 years' experience.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience in a human service, crisis, or medical environment.
- BLS certification and unrestricted Nursing license.
Preferred:
- Experience with electronic health records.
- Experience in customer service.
- Experience in crisis de-escalation.
- Experience working with adults with severe mental illness or substance use disorder.
- Experience working with children with serious emotional disturbance.
