About the Role
As a U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Expert, you will support the development and execution of advanced military war games and curricula for Carrier and Expeditionary Strike Group Commanders. You will provide subject matter expert support on the latest USN doctrine and tactics, and liaise with Navy centers of excellence on surface warfare techniques and procedures.
About You
Required:
- DoD Secret clearance required.
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years or more of related experience; high school diploma and 20 years or more of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- 20 years demonstrated expertise in planning, implementation, and execution of surface warfare tactics.
- Minimum qualification - TAO (Tactical Action Officer) or equivalent.
- In-depth understanding of destroyer squadron staff roles and responsibilities.
- Thorough knowledge of surface warship capabilities and limitations.
- Experience translating training objectives into a comprehensive war game exercise.
