About the Role
As an Underground Drill / Trench Operator, you will be responsible for operating horizontal directional drills and trenchers to install conduit and cable. You will also complete as-built maps, perform hand digging, set pedestals and vaults, and pull cable. The position requires maintaining equipment, attending safety meetings, and adhering to company procedures while working in various outdoor environments.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in underground drilling operations including cable/fiber construction practices.
- Knowledge of depths and placements.
Preferred:
- Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of city codes for underground work such as permits and traffic control.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
