TAK Broadband is seeking an Underground Drill Operator, Telecom to join their team in De Pere, WI. The role involves operating drilling equipment in both standard and high-risk areas, performing conduit splicing, vault/pedestal placement, and fiber/coax placement.
About the Role
As an Underground Drill Operator, you will hire and train new employees, read specifications to determine construction requirements, inspect work progress and equipment, locate and mark site locations, confer with personnel to resolve problems, analyze production issues, ensure safety compliance, and maintain operational data records. You will also be responsible for following all 811 One Call laws and ensuring resources are properly maintained.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years prior experience working in underground construction, preferably for cable or telecommunications.
- Ability to safely operate underground construction equipment.
- Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred:
- Prior leadership experience.
- Prior experience applying for permits.
- Class A CDL.
