About the Role
As an Assistant Underwriter, you will work within established procedures to review applications, determine risk eligibility, and assign pricing guidance. You will correspond with customers to collect and analyze insurance information, ensure compliance with referral criteria, and document policy approvals or rejections. Additionally, you will review transactional items for individual risks and perform other related duties as assigned.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or other relevant study.
- Comprehensive understanding of insurance concepts and practices.
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in underwriting or risk assessment.
- Solid aptitude for mathematical proficiency.
