About the Role
As an Urban Forestry Apprentice, you will work with a small team of specialists to learn about assessment methods, stewardship practices, and planning approaches used in urban forestry. You will participate in fieldwork activities, assist with consulting report writing, and contribute to community stewardship projects. The apprenticeship is expected to last for 12 months.
About You
Required:
- A Bachelor's Degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Academic background in urban forestry, ecology, horticulture, arboriculture, landscape design, or a related field.
- Written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is a range of computer experience including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred:
- Landscape design, ecology, or woody plant experience.
- Experience in publication production or report writing.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and ArcGIS.
