About the Role
As an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing acute illnesses and injuries for patients of all ages. Your daily tasks will include conducting physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and collaborating with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality patient care. You will also participate in quality improvement initiatives and deliver excellent communication and customer service.
About You
Required:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current NP license in Virginia.
- Minimum 1–3 years in a physician practice or urgent care setting.
- Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
Preferred:
- Active DEA registration.
- ACLS, PALS, and DOT certifications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
