TetraMem - Accelerate The World is seeking a US 2026 Functional Testing Intern to join their team in San Jose, CA. The role involves supporting the Functional Testing team with hands-on experience in embedded development, silicon testing, and system integration.
About the Role
As a Functional Testing Intern, you will be responsible for testing and silicon debug, including writing necessary testing code and setting up testing platforms. You will develop embedded software, identify and document test scenarios, contribute to testing methodologies, analyze design issues, and assist with product demos and hardware development.
About You
Required:
Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, or a related field.
Foundational knowledge in embedded programming with proficiency in C/C++ for driver and firmware development.
Solid programming skills in Python and familiarity with MATLAB for test automation and analysis.
Understanding of basic I/O protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO) and DMA and interrupt handling in embedded systems.
Working knowledge of microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and/or FPGA (Xilinx or Intel).
Working knowledge of testing instruments such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeter, function generator.
Basic knowledge of electronic circuits and semiconductor technology.
Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Familiarity with version control (Git, BitBucket).
Ability to work in a startup environment and to work both independently and as a team player.
Ability to work afternoon to evening shifts.
Must be located in the Bay Area.
Preferred:
Working knowledge of in-memory computing and non-volatile memory, RISC-V CPUs and related embedded architectures, machine learning and neural networks, data converter systems (DAC, ADC), and analog circuits (OpAmps, bandgap, temperature sensors) is a strong plus.
