About the Role
As a User Support Technician I, you will perform tasks to aid in the ongoing support of computer users. Your responsibilities will include providing technical advice on software packages, performing hardware and software installations, and troubleshooting basic IT issues. You will work in a centralized computing environment, gathering information on user situations and referring to documentation to resolve issues, while maintaining excellent customer service and communication skills.
About You
Required:
- Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field, or a high school diploma with two years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of computers and related information technology devices.
- Experience providing technical support over the phone and recording details into an IT Service Management application.
Preferred:
- Basic understanding of ITIL V3 processes such as Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
- Some experience using knowledge-based incident/service request response software.
