Citrus County Government is seeking a Utility Instrumentation Technician to maintain and repair instrumentation and electrical equipment at the County's water and wastewater plants in Lecanto, FL.
About the Role
As a Utility Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical control systems, maintaining and repairing electrical systems, troubleshooting electrical problems, and managing the SCADA system. You will also collect and analyze data to ensure equipment reliability, respond to emergency calls, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
About You
Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Associate degree or vocational technical degree equivalent to two years of college education.
Four years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems and equipment.
Ability to diagnose complex electrical issues efficiently.
Preferred:
Valid Florida Driver License or ability to obtain within 30 days.
Certification in FEMA National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses.
