About the Role
As a Utility Locator, you will be responsible for searching for underground utilities, marking their locations, and completing necessary paperwork. You will operate locator systems for telecommunications cable installation, ensure public safety, and adhere to safety standards. Your duties will also include scheduling projects, managing budgets, collaborating with various stakeholders, and maintaining good relationships with the community.
About You
Required:
- 3+ years of telecommunications experience.
- 3+ years of experience utilizing geophysical multi-frequency locate equipment.
- Safety Training including electrical clearances, OSHA-12, traffic control, bucket truck safety, and ladder safety.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred:
- Ability to travel up to 90%.
- Ability to work long hours involving overtime and weekends.
- Experience in emergency response during natural disasters and network outages.
