About the Role
As a Part-time Utilization Management Coordinator, you will report to the Director of Utilization Review and be responsible for collecting information to develop treatment and discharge plans, coordinating individualized discharge planning with physicians, conducting reviews for payor standards, and acting as a liaison for internal and external reviewers. You will also assist in scheduling aftercare appointments and perform other assigned duties.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in a medical-related field and/or prior authorization experience.
Preferred:
- Experience in a psychiatric setting.
- Knowledge of healthcare service delivery systems and third-party reimbursement.
- Familiarity with the managed care environment.
