About the Role
As a VAD Intake Specialist, you will serve as the first point of contact for patient referrals for potential transplant evaluations. Your responsibilities will include coordinating the evaluation process, ensuring all necessary tests are completed, acting as a liaison between various stakeholders, and providing education about the transplant process. You will also participate in outreach activities to strengthen community relations and increase referral volume.
About You
Required:
- Associate degree in a healthcare related field.
- Minimum three years' experience in a healthcare setting.
- Thorough understanding of diagnostic tests utilized for transplant evaluation and related scheduling procedures.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
Preferred:
- Five years' experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with coordinating patient care and education.
- Experience working as a Healthcare Technician.
