Withum is seeking a Valuation Associate focused on Complex Financial Instrument valuations to join their Forensic and Valuation Services Group at various U.S. office locations, including East Brunswick, NJ. The role involves supporting complex financial instrument valuations for financial reporting, tax compliance, transaction advisory, and other purposes.

The Valuation Associate will prepare valuation analyses for tax, financial reporting, and advisory purposes involving enterprise values, stock options, warrants, convertible debt, equity allocations across complex capital structures, and other complex securities/derivatives primarily using Excel. Responsibilities include data entry of tax returns and financial statements into Excel models, assisting in report and client deliverable preparation, reviewing third-party appraisals for audit support, conducting macroeconomic and industry research, reviewing agreements and market research to identify key modeling drivers, developing and maintaining models using Excel and VBA for complex methods such as Monte Carlo and lattices, and understanding relevant tax and financial reporting guidance.
