Arizona Humane Society is seeking a Veterinary Technician I - Foster to join their team in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves providing medical support for pets in foster care and executing Fear Free examinations.
About the Role
As a Veterinary Technician in the Foster Department, you will assist the veterinarian during examinations, diagnoses, and treatment phases for pets in foster care. You will be responsible for managing time effectively, offering excellent communication, and maintaining composure under pressure while working as part of a team.
About You
Required:
High school diploma/GED.
Minimum of 1 year experience working as a veterinary technician in a veterinary clinic/hospital setting.
Proficient with TPR, vaccine administration, implanting microchips, fluid therapy, laboratory procedures, and medication.
Knowledge of phlebotomy, immunology, parasitology, endocrinology, pharmacology, and safe animal handling.
