About the Role
As a Veterinary Technician (ICU), you will be responsible for overnight monitoring and management of ICU and critical care patients. Your duties will include performing advanced technical procedures such as IV catheter placement, blood collection, and anesthesia monitoring. You will assist with emergency stabilization and communicate treatment plans to pet owners while collaborating with ER doctors and specialists.
About You
Required:
- 2-3+ years of veterinary hospital experience, preferably in Emergency, ICU, or Specialty.
- Advanced technical skills in anesthesia, emergency procedures, and patient monitoring.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on overnight shifts.
- Physically able to lift, restrain, and stand for extended periods.
Preferred:
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, CVT).
- Prior experience in Emergency, ICU, or Specialty Medicine.
- Familiarity with critical care protocols and specialty diagnostics.
