Arizona Humane Society is seeking a Veterinary Technician II - Clinic Spay/Neuter to join their team in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves supporting veterinarians in a newly renovated clinic, focusing on spay/neuter and wellness operations.
About the Role
As a Veterinary Technician II, you will play a key role in our low-cost public clinic, assisting with surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring, patient recovery, and laboratory diagnostics. You will provide excellent patient care for up to 60 animals per day, administer medications, and educate clients on home care and veterinary concepts.
About You
Required:
High school diploma / GED required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital.
Expertise in phlebotomy, immunology, parasitology, endocrinology, and pharmacology required.
Proficiency in anesthesiology.
Preferred:
Completion of a veterinary technician program and certification preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to spay/neuter initiatives.
