StepStone Group is seeking a Vice President - Tax Accounting to join their team in the San Diego Metropolitan Area. The role involves supporting the day-to-day tax accounting and compliance of the Company’s public entity while providing broad exposure across multiple areas of the global tax functions.
About the Role
As a Vice President - Tax Accounting, you will lead the quarterly and annual tax provision process, manage external service providers, and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations. You will also review international tax returns, assist with transfer pricing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve tax processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to deepen your technical knowledge in complex tax matters and drive high-impact initiatives within a dynamic organization.
About You
Required:
- Four-year college degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, or other business degree.
- Six to ten years of Tax Accounting experience, preferably with an Up-C structure.
- CPA preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience.
Preferred:
- Big Four experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and technical skills with high attention to detail.
