Family Office is seeking a Vice President of Business Development - Acquisitions to develop and maintain relationships to source commercial real estate acquisition opportunities across the U.S. The role involves working closely with senior team members throughout the investment process.
About the Role
As the Vice President of Business Development - Acquisitions, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining direct relationships with asset managers and commercial real estate investment sales brokers. Your tasks will include identifying opportunities to acquire non-performing loans, managing the acquisition process, coordinating with legal and finance teams, recommending acquisition strategies, and assisting with analysis and presentations for potential acquisition targets.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in business development, real estate acquisitions, lending, asset management or related roles.
- Proven success in relationship management and business development relating to commercial real estate acquisitions.
- Established relationships with investment sales brokers.
- Proficiency in Excel and understanding of Argus, Co-star, Trepp and related applications.
- Knowledge of real estate acquisition process including underwriting and property due diligence.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of CMBS and loan workouts.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize workloads efficiently.
- Exceptional relationship building, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Understanding of real estate financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and market dynamics.
