Summary
Foundation Fighting Blindness is seeking a VisionWalk Assistant to provide administrative and operational support for VisionWalk events in Richmond, VA. The role involves ensuring successful planning and execution of events that raise funds for sight-saving research.
About the Role
As a VisionWalk Assistant, you will be responsible for day-to-day administrative support, including venue research, database entry, meeting coordination, and invoice tracking. You will also prepare and distribute event-related materials, support funding opportunity research, assist with in-kind donation outreach, and coordinate volunteers on event days.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of one year of administrative and/or event coordination experience in a busy, high-volume environment.
- Strong ability to handle administrative tasks, stay organized, and follow established processes and systems.
- Experience using databases to enter, update, or track information.
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong people skills and clear communication, both in writing and speaking.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets the Foundation’s insurance requirements.
Preferred:
- Experience with fundraising events.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Flexibility to maintain a schedule that includes occasional evening and weekend work.
Benefits
- Salary range: $50k–$55k.
- Annual bonus eligibility up to 3%.
