About the Role
As a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, you will perform client intake, provide individual and group counseling, conduct follow-up sessions, administer tests, liaise with vocational agencies, maintain client case folders, consult with families and community agencies, and explore employment opportunities. You will also prepare required forms and travel between service locations in Nassau County.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, sociology, or a related field with a minimum of two years of experience in career counseling for clients with alcohol/substance abuse problems or disadvantaged populations.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and database software.
- Valid New York State Driver's License and access to a car.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation or related field.
- Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds.
