WSP in the U.S. is seeking a Vice President, Civil Engineering Project Manager to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves leading civil engineering projects and managing the transportation team in Southern California.
About the Role
As a Vice President, Civil Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the growth and development of the Civil Engineering Transportation team, providing leadership, mentoring staff, and supporting business development efforts. You will lead the delivery of roadway and transportation projects, participate in contract negotiations, and ensure quality project deliverables while collaborating with clients and industry partners.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
- Engineer license required (California preferred).
- 12+ years of relevant post-education experience in civil engineering and infrastructure design.
- 10+ years of total experience in Caltrans related projects.
- Strong management/leadership skills and ability to lead and grow the civil engineering business.
Preferred:
- Master's of Science in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience working with California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).
- Familiarity with discipline-specific design software (i.e., MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
